Digital Package Printing

Digital printing has many advantages over optical printing even when processing standard package printing. If you shoot film, once the film is processed and scanned, the negatives are not used again. Your negatives are protected from scratches, dust and damage. Your prints are much cleaner.

If you shoot digitally, you can submit your order on CD rom, DVD, or online through ROES.

Remakes do not require resubmission of negatives and are produced quickly resulting in a reduced turn time for your orders.

Advantages over traditional film package printing:

• The ability to offer B&W and Sepia prints with color.
• The crop and centering from units to 16x20’s is EXACT. The color is also extremely close, much closer than with optical systems.
• Reorders – There is no need to cut and card reorders. A fax sheet or e-mail with order roll and frame data lets us turn reorders in just a few days.
• All glass glare and retouching is done digitally. This is cleaner than print finishing and applies to all units, not just 8x10’s.
• Contrast and Saturation control, if a photographer underexposes a shoot it can be “brought back to life” and will not look so muddy.
• Intangibles, the wallets, 5x7’s and splits will always have perfect borders, no white lines or overlapping prints. This helps deliver a professional finished print
